In person, Katie Cazorla, star of Nail Files, is funny, warm, open and full of laughter. She positively burbles over with good will and smiles. We caught up with her last week when she was in New York City. To celebrate the launch of the TV Guide Network’s new reality show, they had free mobile mani spas at various locations in the city. The mini nail salons also hit cities throughout the country. 

Katie was at each and every nail bar in New York, chatting with everyone from preteens to bedbug inspectors. Nail Files debuts tomorrow night, June 21, 10 pm ET/PT on the TV Guide Network.

Who is Katie Cazorla? She’s a native New Yorker who had a dream. Her dream was to be a stand up comic. Off she went to LA. There she met her fiancé, Walter Afanasieff: a Grammy Award wining producer. Then she became a dog mommy to Sugar and Pookie. One night, she had another dream. She woke up in the middle of night. This dream was about owning her own business. Katie sketched out her midnight fantasy,then  her dream nail bar was born.

The Painted Nail is a salon where anyone can drop in for a few minutes of mani/pedi heaven. Who is anyone? Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Williams, Teri Hatcher…you know, Hollywood’s A-list. This all happened within the first six months of opening her nail salon.

The show follows Katie, her fiancé,  her best friend Amy, and her crew: Nichole, Akemi, Chalet and Rickell through the days and nights of Hollywood. We catch Katie with and without makeup creating a second nail salon, finding out that she has three days to get ready to go to the Sundance Film Festival and more.
