I met Brad when we were doing stunts together. We’re that family that likes a challenge. It’s expected that Mom goes out and jumps onto the top of trucks and beats up four guys at a time. That’s just a day at work.

Amy Pascal of Sony had me in for lunch and offered me a role as a Bond girl. I jokingly said, “No thanks to the Bond girl, but I do want to play Bond.” About a year later, Amy called and said, “I think I found your Bond. His name is Edwin.” I said, “Sounds sexy. Hand it over.”

Wasn’t the role originally for Tom Cruise and you helped turn it into a female character?
I made the character lighter and more loving. In the original script, the big climax was for Edwin to be able to say "I love you" to his family. I knew as a woman that would never be a big revelation. I love my family. I say "I love you" so easily and many times a day. That comes easy for women.
