Casey Anthony’s been in hiding almost since her trial ended. Mean Betty thinks she’s like a groundhog, except that when Casey finally pops up out of her cave, there won’t be a celebration.

It looks like Barbara “tell me what type of tree you’d be” Walters is dying to have an exclusive one-on-one with the alleged child murderer. Saturday night, she was spotted leaving Orso, a ritzy New York City resto with Casey’s lawyer, Jose Baez, his wife and actor Frank Langella. Why was Frank Langella there? Meanie knows he’s a great method actor, but she doesn’t think he could pull off doing Casey Anthony in a movie- he’s too tall.

The truth, lambkins, is that La Walters pulled out all stops trying to persuade Casey’s lawyer to let Barbara do the first interview with this newly-minted celeb. Kittens, she even went so far as to take him and his wife to a show starring Langella before wining and dining him! Of course, the moment the paparazzi showed up, Barbara got all prim and proper. When Jose went to hug her good night, she said. “No, no, no. Don’t do it.”

Gee Babs, you’re all set to drop the big bucks to persuade someone to get his client on TV, but when he goes to thank you, you run like he’s got cooties?

The big question, of course, is would you watch the interview? Would you invite your best gal pals over for the big event? Lambies, could you see yourself making a big bowl of popcorn, getting a pitcher of Margaritas ready and watching Casey lie again on national TV?

Whilst Meanie thinks seeing Casey on TV could be the basis of a fun drinking game-- and of course Meanie’s always up for one of those!-- would it even be worth (shudder) the alcohol?

Lambkins, Meanie, the butler and the pool boy are all in agreement on this: it won’t matter what Casey says in her interview with Barbara, because no one will ever believe what she would say.
