It’s awards season! All those Celebs look stunning as they pose for the photographers at all those events. While we don’t all have the time and money to invest in hiring a celebrity stylist like they do, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t look like anything less than our best every day. Designer and stylist to the stars Randi Rahm explains how you can look like a star -even without the red carpet.

1. Play Up Your Assets
“Assess thyself … and then work it,” Randi says. Stand in front of a mirror and find your favorite feature, and then vow to accent them every day. Consider Mariah Carey: “[Mariah] has forever cleavage, so when she puts on one of my gowns for a sexy video shoot she makes sure that the V in front goes low, and that it fits tightly on its sides, so as to push her in and up … naturally,” Randi explains.

2. Be True to Your Personality
Think of fashion as another way to express your inner you. If you’re outgoing, play with bold prints and daring cuts. If you’re more reserved, try soft colors and fabrics, like the way Carrie Underwood does. “I admire that [Carrie] takes full advantage of her sweet disposition, and likes to reinforce her softness by choosing pastels for day and night.”
